I will ask for permission from HEXBUG before I actually make it real, and sell it.
This is a little different than a HEXBUG, because it's not based off of a specific bug, and it has a different walking mechanism. The controls are thumb pads that make it move in different speeds depending where you put the thumb pad, like the HEXBUG Scarab XL. Up to 2 can run at once. The "0" on the controller is the off switch. The 1 and 2 mean on. The robot itself has that same switch.
The robot also charges from the controller. It's small enough to play on a desk. It has rubber feet for traction. It has 6 legs.
You should start on some. It'll help later, mark my words. Plus, if you're doing all of this, you should get Google Sketchup and use the inch/millimeter template. You can use it for 3D blueprints.
